Endemol International Limited - Total Wipeout
As the retained digital advisors for Endemol International, following the success of the hit series ‘Total Wipeout’ in several markets (US, UK, Germany, Australia and across the Middle East) we were tasked with adapting the show’s core characteristics: contestants overcoming huge obstacles, fast pace and the inevitable painful falls that result, into engaging web and smartphone games.
We appointed UK-based Tag games to produce a 3D iPhone game capturing all the spectacular wipeouts and humour of the TV show.
For the web-based game we specifically commissioned first person video of the actual obstacle course so that players would feel as though they were attempting the famous Wipeout challenge themselves.
This was the first time Endemol had funded a product for global release, achieving great results from both a brand and financial perspective.
